Current Projects

  • Murals

The Wedekind Road Art Project (WRAP) is complete! All of the murals are done, we mounted 60 panels, and painted the tortoise sculpture at the roundabout.

  • Practical Permaculture Course - Summer '24

Growing food in the urban environment in the high desert is challenging and takes a lot of skill. Learning and practicing Permaculture is one way to produce food, improve habitat, and beautify as space.

Katy and Kathleen O’Brien lead this 7-part class starting in April for one Sunday a month through October (actually, no class in July but two in September, now). Go to the Cobitat website to learn more.

  • Natural Building

We always have a project underway and are happy to organize a work bee to teach people about building with earth and other natural materials for cob ovens, plasters, straw bale garden walls and more.
